What is Pivot Point?

In finance and trading, a pivot point is a technical analysis indicator that is used to determine potential support and resistance levels in an asset’s price movements. Pivot points are calculated based on the previous day’s high, low, and closing prices and are used by traders to help identify possible price movements and potential entry and exit points.

How is Pivot Point Calculated?

This Pivot Point Calculator offers five types of Pivot Points:

  • Classic
  • Camarilla
  • Fibonacci
  • Woodie
  • DeMark

The most commonly used one is the Classic Pivot, but for this calculator, Fibonacci Pivot Points are not included as there are already many other indicators available that show it more effectively.
