The NSE website hosts a CSV file that comprises the current list of F&O (Futures and Options) stocks along with their corresponding lot sizes.
UPDATE (2026-10): the URL above changed — NSE migrated this file from archives.nseindia.com to nsearchives.nseindia.com, and the old archives.nseindia.com/content/fo/fo_mktlots.csv link now silently 301-redirects to an unrelated PDF circular. The new URL above is confirmed live and working. That said, NSE’s site sits behind bot-protection that can block plain automated fetchers (including, potentially, Google Sheets’ own IMPORTDATA fetcher) without warning, so treat the steps below as “usually works, not guaranteed.” If IMPORTDATA ever comes back blank for you, the more reliable route is the Python library’s own nse_get_fno_lot_sizes() function (it uses browser-grade TLS impersonation under the hood) — see the NSETools Functions docs.
You can view the CSV directly in a Google Sheet using a built-in function called `IMPORTDATA`. Here’s how you can do it:
- Open a Google Sheet where you want to import the CSV data.
- In the cell where you want to display the imported data, enter the following formula:
=IMPORTDATA("https://nsearchives.nseindia.com/content/fo/fo_mktlots.csv") - Press Enter.
