Swing High and Swing Low –

The high of nth candle will be considered Swing High in a said time frame if –

  • The high of the (n-1)th candle is lower than the high of the nth candle.
  • The high of the (n+1)th candle is lower than the high of the nth candle.

The low of nth candle will be considered Swing Low in a said time frame if –

  • The low of the (n-1)th candle is higher than the low of the nth candle.
  • The low of the (n+1)th candle is higher than the low of the nth candle.

 

Perfect Swing High and Perfect Swing Low –

The high of nth candle will be considered Swing High in a said time frame if –

  • The high of the (n-2)th candle is lower than the high of the (n-1)th candle.
  • The high of the (n-1)th candle is lower than the high of the nth candle.
  • The high of the (n+1)th candle is lower than the high of the nth candle.
  • The high of the (n+2)th candle is lower than the high of the (n+1)th candle.

The low of nth candle will be considered Swing Low in a said time frame if –

  • The low of the (n-2)th candle is higher than the low of the (n-1)th candle.
  • The low of the (n-1)th candle is higher than the low of the nth candle.
  • The low of the (n+1)th candle is higher than the low of the nth candle.
  • The low of the (n+2)th candle is higher than the low of the (n+1)th candle.

 

Peak and Trough –

The high of nth candle will be considered Peak in a said time frame if –

  • The high of the (n-2)th candle is lower than the high of the nth candle.
  • The high of the (n-1)th candle is lower than the high of the nth candle.
  • The high of the (n+1)th candle is lower than the high of the nth candle.
  • The high of the (n+2)th candle is lower than the high of the nth candle.

The low of nth candle will be considered Swing Low in a said time frame if –

  • The low of the (n-2)th candle is higher than the low of the nth candle.
  • The low of the (n-1)th candle is higher than the low of the nth candle.
  • The low of the (n+1)th candle is higher than the low of the nth candle.
  • The low of the (n+2)th candle is higher than the low of the nth candle.
